At Holmwood House we firmly believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Through our broad and varied range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities, we ensure that our pupils gain the chance to express themselves, gain confidence and build self-esteem.
In addition to our range of clubs, sports and creative opportunities at Holmwood House, we also provide regular residential trips, visits and outings, which are aimed at stretching our pupils’ minds beyond the classroom and maintaining a lifelong curiosity about the wider world. We are also very pleased with our Les Ambassadeurs Easter course, which allows our pupils in Years 2 to 6 to fully immerse themselves in the French language. Over the Summer holiday we also ensure to provide fun, creative and educational holiday camps for all pupils across the school.
Through our unrelenting focus on providing a happy learning environment for every child, we aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment where every single pupil is seen, heard and supported on an individual level. Through our buddy system, we provide our older pupils with mentoring and leadership opportunities. It also allows our younger pupils to have extra support and attention from their fellow pupils, in addition to our caring staff.
