Dear Parents
I am extremely excited about attending tonight’s performance of Madagascar! The Years 6 & 7 have been working hard under Mrs Mayhews’ direction to produce what promises to be a thrilling production. Supported by the professional band – Mr Cortes, Mr Snell and Mrs Mitchell – we are in for a treat!
It was good to meet with the Year 5 parents last night at their teacher consultation evening and I look forward to seeing the Year 6 parents on Tuesday next week.
We will say goodbye to Madame Aravinthan next week as she leaves to take up a full-time position at a local school. Mdme Aravinthan has been with us since 2013 and has been instrumental in the development of languages across the school working closely with Mdme Mookerjee. She has planned and led recent overnight trips to France with the Year 4 cohorts and has always been an enthusiastic member of the staff team. We wish her all the very best.
As we look ahead to the final week of what has been another fast and furious term we wonder where it went! I look forward to another super summer term in which we will enjoy all the wonderful events which make summer at Holmwood so special.
