From the Headmaster….

Posted: 4th June 2019

Dear Parents,

How did we get to half term so quickly?  The sun is out and the bank holiday weekend weather is looking ok, so enjoy some lovely time with your children and we look forward to seeing everyone in June when we will enjoy the annual range of Holmwood summer events.

We have sent out a number of emails recently aimed at ensuring you are as fully informed about changes for next year as possible.  There is a great deal of hard work going on in the background to ensure September has a smooth start and that our children benefit fully from the exciting developments around the corner.

The builders start work on the Early Years building next week and we look forward to following the progress they make in that area.  Please be extra careful in this area of the school after half term as there will be some temporary changes to access, etc.

I enjoyed the Year 8 Art Scholars’ Exhibition in the Talbot Room earlier this week.  Please do take a little time to have a look at signing out. the quality of their work is excellent.

Our Year 5s are off on their Bushcraft weekend this afternoon.  2 nights under the stars, outdoor challenges and a range of team-building activities will set them up for some jolly good rest afterwards!  My thanks to Mr White, Mrs Baker and two Shadows (Camryn and Zac) for giving up the start of their half term break.

Wishing you all a lovely half term break.

With best wishes
