Well done to Beatrice and Aurelia L-D, two of our Eco Committee Reps for their excellent eco activities during Lockdown.
Firstly they sorted and cleaned their old shoes. Then sent them to a charity called Sal’s Shoes who distribute shoes to children in need both here in the U.K. and all over the world, for example to hurricane victims in Nicaragua and old ballet shoes to dance school in Kenya. They sent us the link to the charity in case any of you are inspired to do the same:
One of our other Reps, James M, has also been supporting the idea of doing litter picks where you live and would like to challenge you all to take some time one day over the weekend or during your after-school exercise to see if you can help clean up your local environment. Don’t forget to wear protective gloves or take a litter picker with you. We would love to see pictures of your efforts.
