We made the most of the wonderful weather and spent lots of time exploring and playing outside, including of course on the big red tractor! We have done plenty of spring themed arts and crafts and the Poppies are very curious to see how tall their seeds will grow.
Babies
With the wonderful weather we have experienced, it has all been about playing outdoors recently. The children have loved the sand, water play, watering our daffodils and watching them grow, looking for spring minibeasts and picnic snacks. We have also enjoyed puzzles and some wonderful spring themed tuff trays. We have been encouraging lots of independence and this is showing now with some of the children being able to find their own outdoor items and attempting to put them on before needing assistance and lots of good hand eye co-ordination with self feeding from a fork and spoon.Â
Bluebells
This week Bluebells have had a great time exploring the great outdoors. They have enjoyed playing in the paddock and been practising their physical skills climbing on the big apparatus, this included the big red tractor. We have also been exploring different textures and filling and emptying containers. We also celebrated St Patrick’s day by making a collage clover, we have been practising our problem solving skills by exploring different puzzles.Â
Poppies
The children have been super busy doing lots of art and craft activities, they have used different shapes to make insects and sheep. They then used paint to create blossom trees. They have also explored shaving foam with different vehicles. Poppies also enjoyed planting sunflowers and tomatoes and we are all looking forward to watching them grow.
Please note next week is a holiday club week and the week after we are closed. We hope you all have a wonderful Easter break
