With spring on the way we have had lots of fun exploring at nursery this week, we have enjoyed discovering the different textures and smells of spring, as well as enjoying the sunshine these last few days. We have had a number of different themed days and activities to help raise money for the Ukraine and we want to thank everyone for all their efforts and donations.Â
Babies
We have been busy recently with so many fun activities relating to Spring and the fundraising week for Ukraine. Babies have enjoyed a tuff tray exploring flowers, smelling and exploring them and scooping petals in and out of containers. We have used our fine motor skills to create spring theme pictures of lambs and chicks using different textures. Staff and children have also thoroughly enjoyed participating in different theme days across the week to help raise money for Ukraine and babies have contributed with some baking to be sold for donations at our bake sale. Thank you to each and everyone of you for your efforts and donations to this wonderful cause.Â
Bluebells
This week the Bluebells have loved exploring our ocean tray with the sand, shells and sea creatures. They enjoyed exploring the different textures and putting the sea creatures in the pretend water. The Bluebells have also been very keen to make some gingerbread biscuits for our bake sale. In the garden we have been talking about minibeasts and found a bumblebee. The Bluebells have also been using their imagination to make some towers with the bricks.
Poppies
The children in Poppies enjoyed doing lots of different activities to raise money for the crisis in Ukraine, including dressing up and crazy hair. We have also really enjoyed being in the sunshine the last few days. We have been talking about how spring is on its way and the different things we may find in spring. Some of the things we discussed were flowers, Easter eggs and bumble bees.
