Wow! What a week the Pre-Reception children have had. We have all been amazing pirates and have been participating in lots of different activities. During our Outdoor Learning session we were treasure hunters, and we had to look for our pots of coins hidden within the Spinney. We have some amazing treasure hunters. Once we found all the coins we then talked through what each coin represented and whether they have seen that particular coin before. While we were in the Spinney, the children loved to explore the environment, by looking under logs where they found lots of minibeasts such as slugs, worms and centipedes.Â
On Tuesday the children got very creative and built a pirate ship out of junk modelling, they used a variety of sized boxes and tubs to create a masterpiece. We had some fantastic team work! During the activity we spoke about what makes a ship float and what features we could add to the ship. Our new pirate ship is called “The Jolly Pre-Reception”.
