Babies
This week in Babies we spent time practising our fine motor skills by posting dried pasta through colander holes. They did really well with this activity, showing good hand and eye co–ordination and concentration. They have also enjoyed a variety of different tuff trays and colour sorting activities. We have focused on our language skills too and the babies have enjoyed familiar story books and rhymes, joining in with some of the actions.
Bluebells
Bluebells have been exploring the autumn leaves out in our garden. We enjoyed stamping in them, throwing them above our heads and using our bodies to make leaf angels. We have also been talking about emotions this week and made some faces with sticky eyes, noses and mouth. Some of the children have been exploring the children’s cameras and have been taking photos of their friends.
Poppies
In Poppies this week, we have also been developing our fine motor skills. We have loved an activity of “setting free the dinosaurs” where we had to cut and use our fingers to untie the string off of them. We have done a variety of threading activities and have really enjoyed expanding our ideas through play. We have loved splashing in puddles during some wet play and are having so much fun exploring our senses.
